Leeds boss Terry Venables is without centre-backs Jonathan Woodgate and Lucas Radebe for the second leg of tomorrow night’s UEFA Cup first-round clash against Ukrainian side Metalurg Zaporizhya.
Woodgate has a hamstring injury and Radebe a knee problem and, given the lack of cover in defence, it has led to Venables drafting untried 18-year-old Matthew Kilgallon into the squad.
Skipper Dominic Matteo should be fit to lead the team despite undergoing round-the-clock treatment on his own knee injury and is likely to be partnered in the centre of defence by Danny Mills, with Gary Kelly and Ian Harte operating as full-backs.
PROVISIONAL SQUAD: Robinson, Martyn, Kelly, Mills, Matteo, Duberry, Harte, Bowyer, Bakke, Barmby, Dacourt, Kewell, McPhail, Viduka, Smith, Kilgallon, McMaster, Okon, Burns.
