Aston Villa striker Julian Joachim took his tally to five goals from six games today and won plaudits for his performance.
Joachim handed in a transfer request at the beginning of the season after falling out with manager John Gregory.
But his passionate display against Ipswich won over the supporters.
He scored twice in the second half after Ipswich had opened the scoring through Alun Armstrong.
"I am pleased for the little fellow," said Villa’s assistant manager Steve Harrison.
"He kept his nerve for both goals.
"I can’t really comment on his situation. I only deal with the bibs and cones.
"What I can say is that he has worked hard on one-to-ones this month. He is happy in training and light in his step."
It was Villa’s first home win since November and Harrison believes they can now continue to progress.
"We’ve had a sticky sort of season and that goes for everyone at the club, not just Julian," he said.
"The gaffer (Gregory) changed formation and went for a back four. It was a gamble and it took us time to settle but the crowd stayed with us.
"It was the Villa Park we all know and love in the second half and it is nice to be able to smile again after a game here."
Ipswich manager George Burley was in a state of shock after his high-flying side went home without a point.
"We looked in control after taking the lead and should never have lost," he said.
"The boys can’t believe it.
"But we gave two bad goals away. All credit to Joachim for taking his chances.
"I am not disappointed with our commitment, we gave it everything we’ve got.
"We are just very disappointed with the outcome for it was not as if we had been out-played or put under pressure."
