Kilkenny dubbed cleanest city in the country

Kilkenny has been named as the cleanest city in Ireland by the Irish Business Against Litter group.

Dublin's north inner city came in at the other end of the scale though, and was ranked last in the IBAL litter league.

IBAL have said four out of five towns and cities in Ireland are now clean or cleaner than the European average.

Chairman Dr Tom Cavanagh says this is the second year in a row that Dublin's north inner city has faired badly.
