Five quizzed over caravan site rape of teenager

Police today launched an investigation into the rape of a 14-year-old girl in a caravan park by a gang of youths.

Police today launched an investigation into the rape of a 14-year-old girl in a caravan park by a gang of youths.

The teenager was attacked after the gang broke into her caravan in Silvercliffs holiday village near Ballycastle, Co Antrim at around 1am today.

They forced her to the floor before sexually assaulting her.

The youths were scared off when the victim’s eight-year-old sister woke up during the attack.

Police in Ballymoney said they were questioning five juveniles about the incident.

They have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the caravan park to come forward.
