Larsson feels robbed of winning double

Celtic saviour Henrik Larsson claims he still has the mark on his chest to prove that his side were robbed of a UEFA Cup quarter-final victory over Villarreal.

Celtic saviour Henrik Larsson claims he still has the mark on his chest to prove that his side were robbed of a UEFA Cup quarter-final victory over Villarreal.

The Swedish striker rescued their incredible unbeaten record at Parkhead and their European dream with a second-half equaliser to cancel out Jose Moreno Josico’s opener.

But he felt that should have been the winner after the linesman ruled out a 55th-minute equaliser because he decided that he had charged down Jose Reina’s clearance with his hand.

“I have to see it on TV but there was absolutely no chance of handball,” said Larsson. “I still have the mark on my chest from it.

“The linesman gave it and I don’t know why. I just hope we get some luck in the next game.”

The 1-1 draw means that Celtic need to score in Spain on Wednesday to have any chance of going through to the semi-final of the UEFA Cup.
