Clare 2-16 Galway 1-18

One point separated the sides at the end of a tense thriller at Cusack Park, Ennis.

Clare gained the victory and remain unbeaten after three outings in Division 1A.

The first half was evenly contested with Clare grabbing two Niall Gilligan goals, while David Tierney replied with Galway's goal. They were locked at 2-6 to 1-9 at the break.

The sides were level four times in the second half, as Clare raced into a four-point lead with 11 minutes remaining. But Galway drew level by the 67th thanks to an Ollie Fahy point.

Clare sub Fergal Lynch regained the lead for the home side and an inspirational point by Frank Lohan in injury time sealed victory.

Galway replied with a Cathal Moore score at the death but it just wasn't enough for the Tribesmen.
