Man arrested in Limerick in connection with murder

A man has today been arrested in Limerick in connection with the murder of another man in the city last night.

A man has today been arrested in Limerick in connection with the murder of another man in the city last night.

The 36-year-old’s body was discovered in the John Carew Park area of Southill at around 10pm.

Gardaí say the dead man had been assaulted and a murder investigation has been launched.

State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy will carry out a post mortem today.

The man in his late 20s who has been arrested is being detained at Roxboro garda station under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act.
