US fail in bid to extradite British-based pilot

An attempt by the US to extradite a British-based pilot, accused of training the September 11th hijackers, has failed.

An attempt by the US to extradite a British-based pilot, accused of training the September 11, hijackers, has failed.

Officials wanted the Algerian-born Lotfi Raissi sent to America for falsifying a pilot's licence application.

But the judge at London's Bow Street Magistrates' Court says he's been given no evidence to support several allegations involving terrorism.

The US government says Raissi will still be subject to ongoing investigations into those associated with the atrocities.
