Conor Phelan, Jackie Tyrrell, John Maher and James Fitzpatrick make their league debuts with DJ Carey and Peter Barry absent.

James Ryall and John Hoyne are on the bench while JJ Delaney, the Hurler of the Year, moves to centre-back in place of Barry.
