High-tech firm EMC Ireland have announced the appointment of Chris Roche as the new country manager.
A 10-year veteran of EMC, Mr Roche has held positions including UKI Director of Infrastructure Consulting, UKI Business Transformation Director, UKI Services Transformation Manager, and EMEA Consulting Manager for EMC Information Solutions Consultancy.
Mr Roche said: "The next transformative event in IT is virtualization, it changes everything. The promise of the next-generation virtualized data centre is the cornerstone of cloud computing.
"My role is to bring our customers, in the Irish market, access to EMC’s full capabilities and support them while they execute their virtualisation strategies.
During his ten years based in EMC UK, Roche was responsible for delivering Infrastructure Consulting and Data Centre Transformation programmes with clients across the UK, Ireland and EMEA, building the management and sales team in the UK and Ireland, and transforming then leading the services and consultancy capabilities across the UK and Ireland.
Prior to joining EMC, Roche worked for Accenture, and also spent three years at ICL working in the CEO’s office, integrating ICL’s 6 business into one.
He started his career at IBM.
