Authentik Language Learning Resources, one of the oldest campus companies of Trinity College, is celebrating 25 years of business success.
Founded in 1978 by lecturers who wanted to develop language learning materials using authentic texts - a completely new idea at that time - Authentik's first product was in French.
Today, Authentik employs 17 staff and publishes an extensive range of resources in French, German, Spanish, English and Italian which includes: magazines, cassettes, CDs, exam practice books, teacher development books.
In the past three years Authentik has developed quality digital products, delivered over the Internet.
These materials are accessed by language learners world-wide, with over 140,000 students in more than 40 countries using it to develop their language skills.
Authentik's has also won the European Award for Innovative Language teaching and Learning and has enjoyed considerable success in the UK secondary school market.
Currently 97% of top UK secondary schools using Authentik resources.
The firm is currently expanding into the North American and Australian markets.
