The parents of a British schoolgirl missing for a week have pleaded with her to get in touch.
Police are still treating the disappearance of Danielle Jones from East Tilbury, Essex, as a missing person operation but are keeping an open mind as to what may have happened to the "normal" child.
A man in his early 40s from Thurrock, Essex, is still being questioned by detectives who arrested him on suspicion of abducting Danielle, 15.
Danielle's mother, Linda, 40, begged her daughter to get in touch as she broke down in tears.
"We are completely devastated," she said. "I am so desperate to get her back.
"She went to school on Monday perfectly happy and to our or her two brothers' knowledge there is no reason why she would have run away."
Det Supt Peter Coltman, who is leading the hunt for the missing teenager, said he was becoming increasingly concerned for Danielle's welfare.
"This is a missing person inquiry and I would love for her to make a phone call and bring this to a close," he said.
"But by the very nature of the circumstances we have to keep an open mind about what has happened.
"I'm really concerned and everything extra I hear leads me to be more and more worried."
