Paul McCartney's estranged wife Heather Mills is concerned for the safety of her daughter after being warned she is being targeted by a vicious gang.
According to British media reports, violent criminals in McCartney's native Liverpool, England, plan to punish Mills for claiming in legal papers the former Beatle physically abused her.
And Mills is terrified her young daughter Beatrice could be hurt after police got in touch.
Her spokesperson says: "She is frightened, but she's more worried about Bea than anything else. She has been told who these characters are and the worrying thing is that they have a violent past.
"The problem is she can't really do anything to protect herself apart from keep a watchful eye."
McCartney and Mills split up in May after four years of marriage and began divorce proceedings in July.
