Simon says capital's homeless numbers jumping

New figures from the Simon Community show the number of people sleeping rough on the streets of Dublin more than doubled last year.

New figures from the Simon Community show the number of people sleeping rough on the streets of Dublin more than doubled last year.

According to it's annual report, 110 new homeless people contacted the agency in the first three months of this year.

This compared with 37 in the same period last year. Simon Community's spokesman Bob Jordan said the most vulnerable in society are being forced onto our streets.
