A Limerick woman has been arrested at Shannon airport following an incident on board a flight from New York in the early hours of this morning.

A Limerick woman has been arrested at Shannon airport following an incident on board a flight from New York in the early hours of this morning.

The woman is facing two charges, including one in relation to breaching the peace.

The woman in her thirties was detained by Gardai at Shannon at 7.10am this morning.

She was charged with section two of the Non-fatal Offences Against the Person Act.

The woman is originally from Limerick but has an address in California.
