Nominations close for Fine Gael leadership
The deadline for nominations for the next leader of Fine Gael has passed and the race can now begin in earnest.
At the close of the nominations at 6pm four candidates had stepped forward.
The line up for next Friday's vote will be Michael Noonan, Jim Mitchell, Enda Kenny and Bernard Allen.
The vote will take place on Friday.
