The floodwaters that brought the Co Tipperary town of Clonmel to a standstill over the weekend have receded significantly overnight.
Gardaí say most roads are now open, but Convent Bridge and the Quay area of the town remain closed and diversions are in place.
Motorists are also advised that a number of minor collisions have taken place on the Clonmel to Kilkenny Road near Ormond Stores.
Drivers are being asked to beware of black ice on the route.
