A man’s body has been found in an apartment in north Dublin.

A man’s body has been found in an apartment in north Dublin.

Gardaí confirmed that the body of a man, who was in his mid-40s, was discovered in a flat on the Phibsboro Road at around 9.30am.

Detectives are initially treating the death as suspicious.

The scene in the north Dublin suburb has been sealed off pending the arrival of State Pathologist Professor Marie Cassidy.

Officers said they were awaiting the results of the post mortem exam before they could confirm the circumstances of the death.
