Latest: Al Porter to take a break from Today FM amid sexual misconduct allegations

Update 7.51pm: Al Porter is to take a break from his radio programme on Today FM.

The lunchtime presenter agreed with the station to take some time after a number of allegations circulated online about him.

A spokesperson for the station says they will not be making any further comment.

Update 7.02am: Today FM has confirmed the station is aware of online allegations concerning their presenter Al Porter.

A number of groping allegations have been circulating on social media.

The company has spoken with Al Porter and his management team and said they take any comments of this nature extremely seriously.

They also said the welfare of their presenters and staff is very important to them.

Today FM is not commenting further at this time.
