Gardaí in Co Tipperary are appealing for witnesses to a serious crash in Roscrea last night.

Gardaí in Co Tipperary are appealing for witnesses to a serious crash in Roscrea last night.

Six people were injured when two cars collided on the N7 Dublin to Limerick road at around 7.30pm.

Two of the injured are said to be in a serious condition.

The stretch of road between the Templemore Roundabout outside Roscrea and Borris-in-Ossory is closed and is not expected to re-open until later this morning.

Motorists are being advised that diversions are in place.
