Solerina easily took the scalp of Champion Hurdle winner Hardy Eustace at Navan today.

The mare, owned and trained by the Bowe family, made virtually all the running to win the Giltspur Scientific Tara Hurdle for the second successive year.

Hardy Eustace stalked the 4-11 favourite, but the lack of a recent run took its toll in the straight and Solerina did not have to be pushed hard by Gary Hutchinson to win by two and a half lengths, with Rosaker third.
