Thousands of Fine Gael delegates will gather in Millstreet in Co. Cork this morning for the party’s annual national conference.
A number of new policy initiatives are expected to be unveiled today in the Green Glens arena, as part of the party’s pre-election platform.
Health, childcare and consumer protection will be some of the issues topping the agenda at the conference.
Party spokesperson, Phil Hogan, said that Fine Gael will propose “realistic alternatives” to the government and added that the party had become a “fighting force” under the leadership of Enda Kenny.
He also said that the party would not be revealing their policies on tax and the economy.
