Lack of electronic trading means quiet day for ISEQ

The Irish Stock Exchange has had a quiet morning so far since electronic trading is not taking place because the ISEXetra trading system is unavailable.

The Irish Stock Exchange has had a quiet morning so far since electronic trading is not taking place because the ISEXetra trading system is unavailable.

The system is operated from Frankfurt, where markets are closed for the May Day holiday.

What trading has taken place has been largely positive.

Iona Technologies and builders McInerney Holdings were both up 10c to €4 and €14 respectively.

In the financial sector, Bank of Ireland was also up 10c to €15.85 while both AIB and Irish Life and Permanent were stable at €22.29 and 19.50 respectively. Anglo Irish Bank was the only negative with a five-cent fall to €16.50.
