Four in custody after death of Polish man in Limerick

Four people are being questioned by gardaí this afternoon in connection with the death of a Polish man in Limerick city over the weekend.

The 26-year-old victim was found with serious head injuries at a house in Briarfield, Castletroy, in the early hours of Monday morning and died later in hospital.

He had been at a house party when he was found at the bottom of a stairs by friends.

A postmortem showed he died as a result of an assault.

Three men and a woman were arrested at various locations in Limerick city early this morning in connection with the investigation.
