FF name first general election candidates

Fianna Fáil's general election campaign for 2007 has officially kicked off after the party today selected its first candidates.

Fianna Fáil's general election campaign for 2007 has officially kicked off after the party today selected its first candidates.

The party unanimously selected Junior Foreign Minister Conor Lenihan and TD Charlie O'Connor to become the first members to officially go down on ballot papers for the Dublin South-West constituency.

Fianna Fáil's second convention takes place in Kildare-south on Monday.
