The minister responsible for Ireland's foreign aid programme has announced €255m in funding for three UN agencies.

The minister responsible for Ireland's foreign aid programme has announced €255m in funding for three UN agencies.

The money will be allocated over the next four years and will be spent on projects in various countries, including Congo, Afghanistan and Lebanon.

Junior Minister Conor Lenihan says the Department of Foreign Affairs will set up strategic partnerships with the UN agencies which will include strict requirements on monitoring and evaluation.
