75% of all families with disabled members live in poverty

Three quarters of all households headed up by a person with a disability are living at risk of poverty.

According to the National Disability Authority it means that many of these families are surviving on just over £100 pounds.

A senior policy advisor to the NDA has told the Irish Government must lend more support to those with disabilities under the National Anti-Poverty Strategy.
