Extradition proceedings against a Louth man convicted of the manslaughter of his wife in Spain have been adjourned for a month.
Michael Dermot McArdle (aged 42), from Brookfield, Heynestown, Dundalk is wanted by Spanish authorities to serve a two-year sentence for causing the death of Kelly Ann Corcoran in 2000.
Ms Corcoran died two days after she fell from the balcony of a hotel room in Marbella.
The High Court was told McArdle is appealing his conviction to the Spanish Constitutional Court, and his extradition hearing has been adjourned for a month.
