London’s leading shares fell back in late trading today to end the week just short of an 18-month high.
After hitting 4549 earlier, investors pulled in their horns to leave the FTSE 100 Index 0.6 points down at 4515, just below the key 4518 landmark.
Today’s neutral performance stood in contrast to yesterday’s 70-point rise on the back of record results from Royal Bank of Scotland.
