Detectives in Spain are probing possible links between the gangland style shooting of a Dublin man in Costa del Sol and criminal connections in Ireland.
Richard Keogh was gunned down in Benalmadena, near Torremolinos on Saturday night, fuelling fears that Dublin’s bloody drug turf war had escalated.
It is understood gardaí suspected the 30-year-old was involved with drug trafficking and possibly with some of the country’s major dealers.
Mr Keogh, a father of four from Cabra, moved to Spain with his family after a failed attempt on his life at his Co Meath home in November 2007.
A garda liaison officer in Spain is providing the local police force with any information they need that could assist with the murder investigation.
