Woman dies in Sligo house fire

A woman has been killed in a house fire in Co Sligo.

A woman has been killed in a house fire in Co Sligo.

The blaze broke out at a house in Marren Park in Ballymote just before 6am.

The woman - who was 38 - was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her body remains at the scene and is expected to be removed to Sligo General Hospital later this morning.

There was no one else in the house at the time.

A technical examination of the scene will also be carried out.
