A resurgent Ryanair leaped ahead by 20c today to €8.30 on foot of an announcement that the airline would be adding five new routes to its timetable.
Four flights from Dublin to Fuerteventura, Tenerife, Alghero and Trapani and one from Derry to Glasgow Prestwick will be added to the itinerary by 2007.
This brings to 18 the number of new routes that Ryanair will launch from Dublin by February 2007. In summer 2007, Ryanair will operate 19 aircraft and 69 routes from Dublin.
Ryanair's ngood news failed however to boost the ISEQ outlook as it dropped 5.40 points to 8197.47 by close today.
AIB was the only loser in the financials as it dropped 4c to €20.95. There were brighter skies on the horizon for IL&P which rose 39c to €19.57.
Bank of Ireland and Anglo Irish Bank both inched ahead by 7 and 1c to €15.47 and €19.57 respectively.
