Detectives have searched the recording studio where supermodel Kate Moss allegedly snorted cocaine, Scotland Yard said today.
Police executed a search warrant at the building in west London on Thursday but a spokeswoman declined to say whether any drugs were found.
“We can confirm that officers from the specialist crime directorate executed a section 8 search warrant on September 29 at an address in London W4 as part of an ongoing inquiry,” she said.
Detectives were also examining items given to them by the Daily Mirror newspaper, which broke the story.
The spokeswoman declined to comment on speculation that Moss’ boyfriend, Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty, and former Clash member Mick Jones will be questioned over the allegations.
Last week it was reported that 31-year-old Moss had checked into the Meadows rehab clinic in Arizona.
The clinic has previously treated celebrities including Paul Gascoigne, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and Michael Barrymore.
It offers help to “individuals seeking treatment for recovery from toxic and abusive living”.
Moss reportedly enrolled in the 30-day, £20,000 (€29,340) programme on the advice of fellow supermodel Elle Macpherson, who was treated there for post-natal depression in 2003.
The model has already lost lucrative contracts with H&M, Chanel and Burberry after pictures appeared of her allegedly cutting up the class A drug with a credit card.
She released a statement in which she admitted “full responsibility” for her actions and said she was taking steps to address her problems.
Video footage of the alleged abuse is to be shown in a Sky One documentary on Monday night.
