The Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny says Fianna Fáil should point the finger across the Cabinet table at the PDs when looking for the source of the leaks from the Mahon Tribunal.
Mr Kenny is insisting that nobody in his party has leaked information from the Mahon Tribunal about the Taoiseach's personal finances.
He rubbished claims that Fine Gael has a bombshell to drop about Mr Ahern later in the campaign and said the Government has brought paranoia to a new height.
The Labour leader Pat Rabbitte also rubbished claims by Fianna Fáil that the Opposition is conducting a smear campaign towards it and dismissed the party's accusations as "complete, farcical nonsense".
He welcomed the fact that the Taoiseach is to release a statement on his personal finances in the 1990s, saying the drip-feed of information this week has been very frustrating.
But he also warned that the Taoiseach's statement must be "complete and final".
