Andre Agassi has become the second player to qualify for the season-ending Tennis Masters Cup.
He joins world number one and defending champion Lleyton Hewitt in the eight-place tournament from November 12-17 in Shanghai.
The top seven finishers in the ATP Champions Race will qualify. The eighth place will go to the highest-placed Grand Slam champion who finishes ranked between eighth and 20th.
Marat Safin, Juan Carlos Ferrero and Carlos Moya are locked in a tie for fifth place.
Pete Sampras, who beat Agassi in the US Open final, moved into contention after surging from 32nd to 12th.
Agassi, winner of four titles this season, has qualified for all three previous Tennis Masters Cup.
