A Finnish telecommunications firm based in Shannon has announced plans to lay off 80 workers due to the recession.
Tecnotree Telecommunications says it has made the decision due to a fall in demand for its products and services.
The company employs around 140 people in the Co Clare town.
News of the lay-offs follows an earlier announcement that GE Money may lay off 50 workers at its Shannon operation, as well as 15 employees in Dublin.
