Prendergast retires from inter-county scene

Seamus Prendergast has called time on his inter-county career with Waterford.

During his 14 years on the Deise panel, the Ardmore man won four Munster titles and a National League in 2007.

He made his senior debut in 2001 and lined out at centre forward in the 2008 All-Ireland final defeat to Kilkenny.

The 34-year-old's final game for the Deise was the qualifier loss to Wexford in July at Nowlan Park when he came on as a substitute.
