Scotland have added a match against Australian Super 12 side Queensland Reds to their summer tour schedule.

The fixture, pencilled in for May 29 in Brisbane, was confirmed today by the Queensland Rugby Union and precedes Scotland’s first Test of their southern hemisphere tour, against Samoa in Wellington, New Zealand on June 4.

Matt Williams’ side will then play back-to-back Tests against his native Australia on June 13 in Melbourne and June 19 at Sydney’s Telstra Stadium.

Scotland met Australia in the World Cup quarter-finals last year and were beaten 33-16 at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium.

The game against Queensland will be played at the Reds’ traditional home of Ballymore.
