Celtic wing-back Didier Agathe has assured his club and supporters he wants to stay at Parkhead.
The former Raith and Hibernian man, aged 29 today, has been linked with a move to Spain with Malaga.
But Agathe insists he is still happy at Parkhead after four years with the Hoops.
“My contract finishes in 2006, and if something was to change then I would go directly to the manager,” he said.
“So many things can happen in the personal life of everybody, and at the moment I just want to get fit and play. We’ll see what happens after that.
“But I’ve got two years left and I’d like to stay here. Everybody’s got their problems. But Celtic is a great club, and I never forget where I have come from. That is important.
“A lot of people criticise this league, or this team, but there aren’t a lot of teams who play in the Champions League. It means a lot for me to play here.
“Of course, I’d like to stay – but one day I may need to change. You don’t know what will happen tomorrow.”
