Old age pension increased by Cowen

Social welfare concerns have been addressed by Minister for Finance Brian Cowen in his Budget 2008 speech.

Social welfare concerns have been addressed by Minister for Finance Brian Cowen in his Budget 2008 speech.

The increases have been designed to increase the payment above the rate of inflation.

Mr Cowen has increased old age pension payments by between €12 and €14 per week for old age pensioners.
