Shatner admits he'd love Star Trek role, but won't confirm one

Star Trek legend William Shatner is keeping tight-lipped about rumours he could appear in the next movie, but has admitted he'd love to.

The actor joked he'd probably be cast as Captain Kirk, but would rather play Spock.

He's attending the Destination Star Trek event at London's ExCeL Centre, where up to 90,000 people are expected over the weekend.

Speaking with reporters, Shatner says he's been sworn to silence.

"Everybody's ears are ringing with the gossip, but I sort of don't feel right talking about it," he said.
