Colin Montgomerie and Jose Maria Olazabal have been drawn in front of Tiger Woods for the first two rounds of the Masters.
Olazabal is in the group ahead of Woods, American amateur champion Bubba Dickerson and Japan's Toshi Izawa.
Montgomerie is in the group in front of that after being paired with US Open champion Retief Goosen and America's Scott McCarron.
Woods, Montgomerie and Olazabal are out in the middle of the field on the opening day, but form three of the last four groups on Friday.
Former Open champion Paul Lawrie does not have to wait long to start his challenge, being in the second group of the day with Tom Lehman and New Zealand's Craig Perks, shock winner of the Players Championship three weeks ago.
In contrast, Ireland's hope Darren Clarke and Padraig Harrington are further down.
Clarke is in the third last group with world number two Phil Mickelson and Argentina's Angel Cabrera.
Padraig Harrington is in the sixth last group with Craig Stadler and Stuart Appleby.
