Limerick 4-13 Waterford 4-13

Limerick and Waterford will have to do it all over again after an eight-goal thriller failed to declare a winner at Thurles.

Waterford roared into an early lead and were nine points up after 15 minutes courtesy of goals from Paul Flynn and John Mullane.

However, teen sensation Andrew O'Shaughnessy pulled a goal back and won an injury time penalty, scored by Mark Foley to see the Decies lead by one at the break.

John Mullane scuppered a goal chance early in the second half and Conor Fitzgerald pulled Limerick level.

However Paul Flynn put away a penalty to put distance again between the sides.

Eoin Foley missed from the spot for Limerick but Conor Fitzgerald goaled from the ensuing scramble.

Flynn got his hat-trick courtesy of an error by Limerick goalkeeper Timmy Houlihan and Waterford were again ahead by four.

The sides exchanged points but Niall Moran found the back of the net with 13 minutes to go to ensure a dramatic finish with the sides locked at 4-10 a-piece.

The sides exchanged scores again and Eoin Foley stepped up to steal a dramatic equaliser for Limerick.

But a draw in the end was a fair result after this dramatic game.
