Black Charmer, third to Aidan O’Brien’s impressive Ivan Denisovich at Newmarket last week, is one of three British entries for Sunday’s Dubai Duty Free Anglesey Stakes at the Curragh.

The Mark Johnston-trained colt, who stepped up on a Doncaster victory to make the frame in the July Stakes, is joined by Mick Channon’s dual winner Zato and Jeremy Noseda’s Salut D’Amour.

The latter finished second to Donna Blini in the Cherry Hinton Stakes last week, having won a Listed contest at Sandown Park in May.

The British trio could face a strong home challenge in the Group Three contest, including recent impressive maiden winner Aussie Rules from the powerful O’Brien yard and Jim Bolger’s promising Namaya.
