Reigning champion Brendan Cummins has been forced to pull out of this weekend's All-Ireland Poc Fada event at Ravensdale, Co Louth, due to Tipperary's involvement in Sunday's All-Ireland SHC quarter-finals.
The Premier county goalkeeper will miss Saturday's Poc Fada, which he won for the second successive time last year in a record 48 pocs, with Ken Hogan's Tipp side due to face Galway at Croke Park, 24 hours later.
Limerick goalkeeper Albert Shanahan, the 2001 Poc winner and runner-up to Cummins twelve months ago, will take the Tipp man's place in the 12-man line-up.
Wexford net minder Damien Fitzhenry, Clare 'keeper Davy Fitzgerald - a winner in 1999 and 2002 - and former soccer international and Dublin minor hurler Niall Quinn will also be tackling the 5km course on the Annaverna mountain.
