Pair killed in motorcycle crash

A motorcyclist and his pillion passenger were killed today when their bike and a car were in collision.

A motorcyclist and his pillion passenger were killed today when their bike and a car were in collision.

The driver, a man in his 70s, and the woman, in her 60s, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí at Gort, Co Galway, are investigating the crash on the N67 between Kinvara and Ballyvaughan at Roo Demesne at 4.20pm.

The road is closed for forensic collision investigators to examine the scene and diversions are in place.
