The Small Firms Association is meeting with the Government today to discuss its concerns about rising insurance costs.

The SFA has already called for the urgent implementation of recent recommendations on insurance.

Its director, Pat Delaney, said today: "There has to be changes to the way that the personal injuries system is conducted in Ireland. There’s no doubt whatsoever that insurance costs are now responsible for the closure of many companies already.

"Thousands of jobs are at risk and hundreds of companies are now trading without insurance."
