Dundalk had three players sent off as St. Pat's booked their passage into the fourth round of the FAI Ford Cup with a late winner.

Ciaran McGuigan was the first Lilywhite to see red for a bad tackle on Ian Bermingham on 43 minutes.

Within a minute midfielder JJ Melligan was also sent off by Cork referee Anthony Buttimer for an abusive gesture.

The action fast-forwarded to the 89th minute when Saints' winger Brian Cash stabbed home after Dave Mulcahy and Paul Byrne had both flicked on a Ryan Guy throw.

Dundalk defender Garry Breen was then also sent off two minutes into added time for tripping Saints' Conor Kenna.
