Vodafone to launch first UK mass market micro payment service in January.
Vodafone Group PLC will launch the UK'S first mass market micro payment service in January, managing director Multimedia Vodafone Ltd Amit Pau said.
The service will enable mobile phone users to pay for items of less than 10 euro, like sports news, games and ringtones.
"By the end of first quarter 2002, all 12.8 million Vodafone customers will be able to use it," said Pau in a news conference at the group's headquarters in Newbury today.
