England striker Teddy Sheringham is backing Argentina, France, Germany and Italy to save their World Cup dream and book a place in the knock-out stages.
All four countries are in danger of crashing out after some indifferent results, but the Tottenham star expects class to rise to the top in the end.
Sheringham told BBC Radio Five Live: ‘‘I fully expect France, Germany, Italy and Argentina to get into the next round.
‘‘They (Argentina) are up against it against Sweden and it’s not an easy game, but it’s one that you expect them to turn around and get into the next stage.
‘‘That’s the way World Cups are. It’s very rarely you see teams of that calibre fall by the ways side when it’s in their own hands.’’
